South Bend Kicks the Habit at The Great American Smokeout

(WSBT) While many groups are raising awareness this week about homelessness others are trying to get smokers to kick the habit.
It's the annual Great American Smokeout. They're asking people not to consume for 24 hours and create a plan to quit.
Experts say those who kick the habit can see positive results within five minutes of their last cigarettes.
“It's very difficult to depart. My longest time has been 13 months. But I've talked to people who've been smoke-free for years and they still go into that trap of thinking they can consume just one cigarette. Don't do it,” said Luann Warner who is trying to quit smoking.
